Who we are

FitFile is made by Overspill Technologies ("we", "us"). This policy explains what FitFile does with information when you use the app.

Your photos and videos

Files you choose are read from your device, compressed on your device and saved back to your device only when you tap Save or Share. They are never sent to us or to any server. Compressed photos are written as new JPEG files with location and camera details removed. Your original files are never modified or deleted.

What stays on your device

To make the app work, FitFile keeps a small amount of information in the app's private storage: your history list (file names, sizes before and after, and a link to the saved copy), your daily usage count, your last-used size and your settings. This never leaves your device and is removed when you clear history or uninstall the app. Temporary compressed copies are deleted the next time you open the app.

What we collect

Nothing. Overspill Technologies does not run accounts, analytics or tracking in FitFile, and receives no data from the app.

Advertising in the free version

The free version shows ads from Google AdMob, a service of Google LLC. To serve and measure ads, Google and its partners may collect information such as your device's advertising ID, IP address, approximate location, device and app information, and how you interact with ads. In the UK, EEA and some US states you are asked for consent first through Google's consent message, and you can change your choice at any time in the app under Settings, Ad privacy choices. Ads never receive your files, file names or chosen sizes. Pro removes ads. See Google's policy at policies.google.com/privacy.

Purchases

Subscriptions and one-time purchases are handled entirely by Google Play. We never see your payment details. The app only checks with Google Play whether Pro is active on your account.

Permissions

FitFile uses Android's photo picker, which gives the app access only to the files you pick. It does not request access to your whole gallery, camera, contacts or location. Internet access is used only for ads and Google Play billing; compression works offline.

Children

FitFile is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Your rights

Because we don't collect personal data, there is nothing for us to access, export or delete. You can clear FitFile's local data in the app or by uninstalling it. For ad data, use Ad privacy choices in the app or your device's Google settings.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will appear here and in the app with a new effective date.
